My Mum is in hospital with a broken ankle after slipping on ice outside her hairdressers. She's a couple of weeks short of 82 so this is definitely not a good thing. Any healing thoughts directed towards Kingston will be gratefully received.

In other news, our boiler has broken down and [livejournal.com profile] murphys_lawyer has just gone into town to pick up what seems to be about the last heater in Argos.

Hugs and prayers

I hope her ankle heals soon, and the heating works - I can remember huddling around the oven in the winter in one place I lived as a child. Yesterday I couldn't get warm so I made soup in the oven! Oh the bliss of opening the hot oven door.

Good thoughts and prayers to you, and to your mother. Boiler going in this sort of weather is not nice!!!

Hope you can get it mended soon, and the heater works.

*thorts heading your mum's way*

I hope the heater is as good as the one we bought (from Curry's) to keep us reasonably warm while they were replacing the boiler...

Hope my healing thoughts are better for your mum than they are for myself (but that's often the way)

Oh dear. It never rains... (er, should that be 'it never snows...'?) Good wishes for your mum's recovery and safety in this weather!

I have my fingers crossed for my own mum (who's 86) - it still looks as though I won't be making it down to Wales for Christmas with her. :-{
