Pern is Headed to the Screen

I wonder whether, when (eventually, one way or another) it does finally make that jump, we'll end up with something good and faithful, something that catches the spirit well even if it isn't that faithful, or something that just uses the name...

That is always the risk. I hope they do well by it but I can see a lot of the stuff about the emotional linking between the dragons and their riders being lost.
