Winter is here I think

Today has been cold and damp enough to fire up the heating for the first time since before Easter so I am declaring this the first day of winter. Only had it on for half an hour but it made all the differance to my knees while i did the ironing and watched trashy TV. (Reality TV channel, the perfect ironing companion. Just put your brain in park and go.)

My heating has come on, on the automatic setting, for the last few nights. The thermostat is still turned down, however.
