Vet wasn't happy with the last curve at the start of the month (there was an of odd spike and the curve wasn't quite the right shape) and wanted a more detailed one (every hour). Cat said sod this after the first jab, nipped [livejournal.com profile] murphys_lawyer very gently then went very pointedly elsewhere. This meant a day at the Vet.

Picked him up after dropping Bunny at rangers and vet is pleased. Told to carry on with the diet and dose as is and report back in a couple of months when they may want him in for a fructosine test. Cat pleased to be back home as we opened the FEV in front of a dish already loaded with his favorite gooshy fud.

Glad to hear things are continuing well. Pity that the blood can't be taken in as stress-free a manner as the insulin itself can be given - Kosh could practically sleep through the latter, but the first was more challenging.

I know there are some methods being researched for humans that do not need fresh blood (saliva samples etc) but it's going to be a long time before they come down to vet level. Looking at the mark in the middle of the shaved bit of Mungo's leg I think they put in a cannula for sampling since they wanted hourly checks.
